The Hypersonic Long Overshoes rip up the UCI rulebook in search of impressive time-trial gains, saving up to 20 watts over cotton socks. Slip them on, cut through the wind and say hello to a personal best!
The Hypersonic Overshoes are the simple but proven and effective way to ride faster. Our Silverstone wind-tunnel testing shows an average saving of 12 watts over cotton socks in the 40 – 55km/hr window. But at 55km/hr and above, that rises to a near-20-watt saving. Core to its speed is the upper section – a one-piece construction featuring our new Superstripe 2 fabric, even faster than its predecessor. Narrower ridges trip the boundary layer flowing around the legs, delivering impressive aerodynamic savings. The lower section is made of durable polyurethane-coated Lycra that moulds to the shoe for a comfortable, aerodynamic fit. Silicone grippers at the ankle and heel keep things in place no matter how fast your cadence. They’re easy to slip on thanks to the Velcro closure beneath the shoe – no awkward zippers here. These aren’t restrained by UCI regulations, so are to be used in CTT (Cycling Time Trials) or non-UCI-sanctioned events only.
